If you are developing a kid mobile app with ads, you probably should be ashamed

Ever saw a kid play a game including ads on an iPad? This is excruciating. Ads pop up every 2 minutes. They usually are very nicely done, so nice in fact that you can’t distinct them from the actual game, unless you are an adult obviously. And the cross to close the add is just so tiny, it is sometimes hard to find. I even saw an ad that displayed the cross after a count down of 5 secondes. A 3-year old kind does not read numbers! And tends to click on shiny buttons, because that is what their favorite game is made of. So they click, they end up on the web or in the App Store, keep clicking everywhere, and gets frustrated or lost. And as a parent you need to watch their every move.

If you are a mobile game developer, please consider not using ads. This is just wrong for kids, they don’t understand them. Instead, make a great game with in-app purchase, I will gladly pay for them.
