Here’s the thing… we ALL use systems and the better our systems, the more in control we feel. The more stuff our systems catch for us, the less things floating around in our brains that we have to worry about.

Asana can help you to capture ALL THE BITS AND PIECES so that you free up space in that beautiful head of yours for more joy, more creativity, more fun, more light, and more love.

Screw being overwhelmed.

Screw a million pieces that are always in action and seem perpetually out of your control.

Screw feeling bad, tired, inferior or anything less than the rockstar god(dess) that you are.

Asana can help you rock your list of to-do’s day in and day out, as well as propel you to accomplish what’s important (while letting go of some of that GUILT that serves no purpose and brings you zero value).

Asana is about having systems that work for you, that you trust, and that REALLY free your time up so that you can do whatever you want.

In order to get Asana to work for you, I encourage you to embrace a few core beliefs about systems:

1. We don’t run our own businesses just so that we can work all the time like maniacs.

Even though we may work all the time like maniacs because we care soooo much, we want the freedom to make this choice instead of it being a compulsory requirement for us to earn our minimum viable pay cheque. I assume you don’t want to be working around the clock on administrative

tasks, invoicing issues or technology glitches and that you’re doing this, in part at least, because you want some freedom, some control, and some space to spend as much time as possible doing the things you love to do.

Remember that systems are there to serve you — not create more work for you.

2. Squeezing ourselves into a system that isn’t a good fit is basically the same as having no system at all.

It’s a challenge for me when people ask, ‘What should I put in place for my “x” system?’ It depends on so many factors. What are you trying to accomplish? How do you like to work? What kind of interface makes you feel warm and gives you the fuzzies? If it’s not intuitive FOR YOU, or if it doesn’t feel good FOR YOU… Forget it.

Don’t settle for half-assed systems that only sort of work for you, just because it was effective for so-and-so. If it doesn’t work for you and make you feel” good, then it’s a liability. Which brings me to…

3. Having a system you don’t FULLY use is the same as having no system at all.

If we can’t trust our system, then it’s not serving us. Having to constantly worry about whether our system catches everything means our brains don’t get to rest at all.

You know that spinning sensation which you experience whenever you try to remember everything all at once? Well, if you know your system is solid and that it’s got your back, then there’s not much you have to fret over.

It’ll bring your attention to the things that you need to see, when you need to see them, and Asana does this beautifully.

This is why I recommend that you put every single aspect of your life into your task and project management solution (in this case — Asana).

Be ruthless in your dedication to your systems — it’s the only way you’ll be set free.
